I have been a gardener for many years, growing potatoes in a Raised garden is the ONLY way I will ever grow potatoes again!

As you can see in the video of Josh and myself harvesting the potatoes from a 3x6 raised garden, it is so easy to do! No more shovel and chopping up the potatoes trying to dig them, just reach in and with little effort just pick them out of the soil mix.

We have been using the raised garden method for potatoes for 5 years now and we have been successful every year.

What a great video! I made my DH sit down and watch it with me! LOL

And I'm with you on that one Theresa! White's on the bottom and reds on the top! Might throw some blue potatoes in the middle, since DH wants to try them. Oh! I just realized that, red, white and blue potatoes! LOL

I think we are going to do it like y'all's pictures show and do a dedicated potato box. Maybe a 2'x8' box ... hmm ... do you think I could do the layering in the entire box? We do love our potatoes!

Nice! The "blue" potatoes are really purple (imo) but hey it doesn't matter to me!

We haven't ordered any seed potatoes yet, but I probably will in the next couple of weeks. We're looking to be home sometime around the beginning of March, so I'll try and schedule their delivery to coincide with us being at the house.

I'm really hoping I can get all my beds done at that time too! But I'm not gonna get too upset if they don't. After all, there's still alot to do before we can get to that stage.
