Project FeederWatch

Post  Josh on Thu Nov 17, 2011 10:43 pm

Starting this month through Feb. I will be joining in on a project feeder watch for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. You too can become a Feeder Watch member, or you can find some great free info on how to set up a feeder station, what to feed the birds, and a free printable ID poster. http://www.birds.cornell.edu/pfw/

I'll be posting what birds I see, some pictures of the birds that visit my feeder and other information about the birds. I hope you will join me by posting the birds at your feeders this winter too!

This is a view from the living room window, I have my bird feeders, and I have a flower stand there for them to have a place to land on while they wait their turn at the bird feeder. I also have a place for water for them. The bird feeder stand holds several feeders, I only have the one right now but I'm going to get a couple more later. I have one made from an old tire that hangs from the tree. I'm hoping to get some good pictures of the birds, the camera has a pretty good zoom on it.

This is the old tire turned into a hanging bird feeder.

I can't remember what bird this is, but there were a lot of them in the SFG flower gardens this summer.
