Wool bunny made from English Angora Wool
I made my first felted wool from our English Angora wool, I had pretty good luck making it, and once I had a small piece made, I made a small wool bunny rabbit from it. It is sooooo soft! I could not believe just how soft it was.
I made it by carding the wool first, then a towel down on the counter, putting down some rubber shelf liner, and placing small strips of carded wool down in several layers, each layer going in a different direction than the one before it. Putting hot soapy water on it, and then rolling it up on a PVC pipe and rolling it about 60 times, then taking it and adding more water and rolling it in my hands several minutes, then running cold water on it at the sink till all the soap is out and then spreading it out, I used the iron on it to smooth it out and help dry it. Once it was completely dry I made the little rabbit from it.
I plan to make a video of how to make the wool and I will post it soon.
